Non-thesis Master Program in Audit and Risk Management (Turkish)
About the Program
The program, which is the first post-graduate program that brings a holistic approach to the field of auditing and risk management, opens directly within the Interdisciplinary Audit and Risk Management Department of the Institute of Social Sciences.
The program aims to be a platform that will bring together employees in the field of audit and risk management and those who want to work in this field on academic grounds. Supervision and Risk Management Master's program is designed for employees working in the private and public sectors,for employees of internal audit, external audit, audit, risk management, internal control, financial services and for those who have a career plan in these areas.
The program aims to provide participants with the skills to develop solutions to current problems in the field of audit and risk management and to overcome the problems that may arise in the future.
In the design of the courses, a holistic approach, which considers theoretical knowledge and application dimensions together in the field of audit and risk management, is adopted. Compulsory and elective courses are given by competent academicians and sector professionals. The program establishes an information bridge between academics and experts in the field of audit and risk management.
The program is also remarkable with the richness of the elective curriculum. In determining the courses and their contents, skills were considered that are needed both today and in the future in the area of "audit and risk management expertise".
We plan to provide service to the program participants with the special library to be established in the field of audit and risk management within our university and aim to provide access to an up-to-date and comprehensive resource pool in this field.
- Application and Admission Requirements

- For Turkish Citizens

- Applicants must hold a 4-year undergraduate degree. (In accordance with the ASBU Rules and Regulations Governing Graduate Studies, a maximum of two semesters of scientific preparation program can be applied to students admitted to graduate programs. The relevant head of the department decides which student will be subjected to the scientific preparation program and the content of the program.)
- Candidates must earn a minimum score of 65 from written science exams and/or interviews.
- Overall assessment must be 65 or higher.

- For International Applicants

- A commission set up by the relevant department’s directorate and composed of at least 3 faculty members determines the field in which applicants must hold an undergraduate degree, the minimum CGPA and (for the programs requiring proficiency in a language other than Turkish) language proficiency level.
- Applicants must demonstrate their proficiency in Turkish to be able to start their studies (This requirement does not apply to international students who have graduated from a higher education institution in Turkey). The others must achieve at least the level C1 in the Turkish proficiency exams such as TÖMER, DİLMER, and TYS. Applicants who never submit any of these documents will be required to take the Turkish preparation programs, which will take a maximum of two semesters.

- Horizontal Transfer

- Must be currently enrolled in a Master’s program
- Must satisfy the requirements of the program that is being applied,
- Current GPA must be at least 2.50,
- Must have finished at least one semester in the currently enrolled program,
- Must NOT be further than the half of the currently enrolled program,
- Must NOT have any disciplinary record,
- Must have satisfied all the requirements of the completed semesters of the currently enrolled program.

Application Calendar and Evaluation

Applicants are ranked based on an initial evaluation carried out by weighting of GPA. Up to five times of the quota, candidates can be called for a scientific evaluation exam.
After applications are accepted, a science exam is held on the announced date. The application results are determined by 20% of GPA, and 80% of science exam score. Based on this evaluation, candidates who have earned a score of 65 and above are deemed successful. Successful candidates are ranked according to general evaluation scores (in cases of equal general evaluation scores, science exam scores are taken into consideration), and a number of candidates and substitute candidates as specified by quotas are announced on the institute's website.
